We are looking to recruit a Deli Supervisor for a brand new deli which is scheduled to open soon in Cockermouth. You will be joining the business right at the start and your ideas and input will be welcomed and encouraged.

  • Supervise the daily operations of the deli section, including food preparation, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Train and supervise deli staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, order supplies and collect as needed, and ensure that the deli section is properly stocked always.
  • Monitor and track deli section sales and performance, providing regular reports to the management team.
Requirements
About you
  • Experience working in a deli or food service setting, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Must be able to cook and prepare meals.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Must be hard-working, presentable with good personal hygiene.
Salary and benefits

Hourly wage is £13.05 and your working hours will, subject to mutual agreement, will be 7.30am to 2.30pm, 37 hours per week.
