Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. QA of raw and finished materials
2. Ensure safe food practices specific to the department
3. Picking food products and packing in boats, totes, and boxes
4. Scanning labels on packages, loading packaging machines with boats, and labeling packages with printed labels
5. Spot-check packages emerging from machinery for correct labeling
6. Assisting in shutdown procedures
7. Assisting in cleaning procedures

Education and Qualifications:

• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
• Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to start during overnight or early morning hours
• Comfortable with 8-12 hour shifts based on business needs
• Experience in a related field is a plus
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to apply knowledge of processes, production methods, and products to daily operations
• Clear communication skills in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Ability to work in a climate of 32-38 degrees
• Ability to perform twisting, turning, and bending
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Must be able to read and understand production requirements
