The Opportunity:

We seek an ambitious self-starter for the role of Delegate Sales Executive, with potential to progress into smaller accounts for sponsorship, requiring at least one year of sales experience. The role involves selling Delegate Passes for multiple Energy Portfolio events at the Energy Council, ensuring the right attendees are present.

The events include leading global upstream industry strategic gatherings. The successful candidate will develop relationships with key industry figures and senior stakeholders, collaborating closely with marketing and production teams.

Proven ability to build partnerships across diverse companies and regions is essential. The role involves making high-volume outbound calls to meet revenue targets, including to existing clients and new prospects, demanding strong sales skills and target achievement track record.

Energy Council operates in a fast-paced environment with sector growth. The candidate will play a key role in this expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to sell to existing and new clients to meet revenue goals.
  • Identify new leads and industry sectors for sales, working with the Project Director on new revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships with a consultative approach, demonstrating the value of attending Energy Council events.
  • Stay informed on market trends and identify new growth areas.
  • Upsell delegate places to sponsors and exhibitors.
  • Ensure accurate information for pipeline and project meetings.
  • Represent the Energy Council professionally at all times.
  • Attend industry and VIP events as needed.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas/Energy/Finance is preferred but not essential.
  • Spanish language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Pardot is desirable.
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in delegate sales or media sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Understanding of the full sales cycle.
  • Ability to generate leads via research.
  • Prioritization skills to maximize revenue.
  • Ability to build both short-term and long-term client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and opportunity recognition.
