Job summary

Thales, a global technology leader, invites applications for the 2027 Industrial Process Engineering Apprentice – Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer at Templecombe. You will study toward a BEng with Yeovil College while working hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

The programme runs five years, with four years of day-release study and a final work-based year. You’ll gain real project experience, a pathway to a permanent role, and tuition fully paid.

Qualifications

• A Levels required (including Mathematics).
• Two A Levels minimum.
• Grade C or above in Maths.
• At least one additional STEM subject.
• 90+ credit BTEC Diploma in Engineering (MM).
• GCSEs incl. English Language and Mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above.
• Applicants who already hold a relevant degree will not be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering skills as an industrial process engineer within manufacturing.
• Define, set up and optimise manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Contribute to Health, Safety and Environment processes.
• Attend Material Review Boards/Configuration Control Boards and manage changes.
• Implement test and control plans for manufacturing equipment.
