What you'll do

As a Senior Relationship Management Apprentice within our Commercial & Institutional – Commercial Mid Market Team, you will:

  1. Support Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of business customers and preparing them for their meetings by providing well-researched briefs and information.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to champion our customers’ business ambitions and financial needs by focusing on building sustainable, long-term relationships.
  3. Maintain regular contact and provide outstanding support and advice through our omni-channel contact model, primarily in face-to-face meetings and via digital channels.
  4. Learn and understand how to follow a lending request from beginning to end and support the management of the process.
  5. Build your banking experience by learning about systems, processes, and customer products, as well as developing your awareness and knowledge of the Commercial Banking market.
  6. Contribute to a strong risk management culture and ensure we operate within established governance and processes.
  7. Support customers by driving an increase in the adoption of digital services, both at the point of sale and ongoing servicing.

Your line manager will set you goals and an individual learning plan to help you complete professional qualifications or technical training.

Your learning journey will include:

  • Financial Services legal, regulatory, and compliance framework.
  • The breadth of products and services available.
  • Quantitative methods, accountancy, financial mathematics, statistics, and economics.
  • How to identify and use client/customer segments.
  • Using systems and implementing/adhering to processes.

You’ll also need:

Eligibility

80 UCAS points (A levels or BTECs in England and Highers or equivalent in Scotland).
