Role Overview:

The Accounting & Finance Manager Degree Apprenticeship is designed for those aspiring to manage and implement accounting and finance systems that support decision-making aligned with organizational strategy. The program emphasizes problem-based and inquiry-led learning to develop relevant skills and behaviors.

As an apprentice in Reply's internal management reporting team, you will manage complex financial reporting for a fast-growing, networked organization, reporting directly to the Head of Management Reporting. Your internal clients will be managing directors of Reply's subsidiaries. This flexible three-year program is suitable for newcomers to accounting or those with some experience seeking to upskill. You will earn a Bachelor's degree and industry-recognized professional qualifications. The apprenticeship will be based at our London office, delivered via online learning in partnership with the University of Exeter, starting in September 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing and conducting monthly financial performance meetings with stakeholders
  • Monitor and control company performance to enhance profitability
  • Learn forecasting and budgeting for key KPIs in management reporting across UK subsidiaries
  • Assist in drafting quarterly reporting packages
  • Support reconciliations with statutory financial statements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Completed A-Levels with BBB (preferably Mathematics and Economics) or BTEC (DDM) equivalent, or at least two years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance (e.g., finance assistant, controller)
  • Alternatively, completed a Level 3/4 apprenticeship in Accounting/Finance and seeking to top up to a degree
  • Must not still be completing A-Levels/BTEC this year due to application deadlines
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics if under 19 (per funding agency requirements)
  • Strong interest in finance, controlling, and auditing processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Initial accounting exposure is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; SAP knowledge is a plus
