Job summary

Baringa is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Defensive Operations section of the Cyber Security Team. You will protect the company from cyber vulnerabilities and ensure security programs keep pace with the business.

You will configure and operate security tooling and contribute to governance and risk management efforts. The role reports to the Head of DefOps, with opportunities to gain recognised security certifications and work on modern security architectures.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-time Cyber/Information Security or IT operational role.
• Certified security professionals with CompTIA Security+ or GIAC Security Essentials or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability scans, analysis, and prioritise identified weaknesses, coordinating with the Technology Team to remediate issues.
• Collate alerts from security tooling, perform triage, prioritise and escalate when required.
• Act as the first point of contact for security incidents, providing timely responses and communications throughout all stages.
