Job description

Your new company
Our client is a highly-regarded defendant firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting for an Associate with 3+ years PQE to join their Healthcare team on a hybrid working basis. This role is open to their Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham offices.

Your new role
This Defendant Clinical Negligence Associate role will see you handle your own caseload of litigated and pre-litigated clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Resolution. While the caseload is primarily NHS Resolution, there is the opportunity to expand your defendant clinical negligence/healthcare experience over time. You will provide strategic and technical advice to NHS Trusts and other healthcare bodies. This role will see you responsible for drafting pleadings, witness statements, instructions to counsel and other litigation documentation. You will be required to attend hearings, settlement meetings and case conferences when needed.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience. You must have strong experience handling your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence files. Ideally, applicants will have direct NHSR exposure.

What you'll get in return
This is a fantastic opportunity for defendant clinical negligence solicitors to join a top-tier Healthcare team working on behalf of high-profile clients. A competitive salary and hybrid working is available and negotiable dependent on experience.
