Job summary

Amey Group Services LTD is seeking a Vehicle and Military Plant Technician to maintain and repair modern military vehicles and defence equipment in the Berkshire region. The role includes serving, diagnosing faults, and ensuring safety and readiness for operations, with full technical and military training provided.

Applicants from automotive, plant or emergency-services backgrounds are welcome; previous military experience is not required.

Qualifications

Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician
Experience servicing or repairing vehicles, machinery or mobile equipment
Knowledge of hydraulic or electrical systems beneficial

Responsibilities

Servicing and repairing military vehicles, plant and material-handling equipment
Completing planned and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Investigating breakdowns and carrying out repairs
Replacing and rebuilding mechanical components
Inspecting and preparing equipment for operational use
Completing accurate electronic maintenance records
Identifying and ordering replacement parts
Working to strict safety, quality and engineering standards
