Job summary

ARX is hiring a Technical Programme Manager to design and build the programme infrastructure across engineering and operations, coordinating distributed teams in the UK, Germany, and Ukraine. You will establish gates, readiness criteria, and a Jira-based operating model to ensure proven delivery.

You will translate ambiguous inputs into structured requirements, manage risks and schedules across hardware and software streams, and own end-to-end execution in a fast-paced defence tech environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex technical programmes in defence, robotics, autonomy, automotive, or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong track record delivering mission-critical systems in high-pressure operational environments with full ownership of scope, schedule, and execution.
• Willingness to travel within EU, especially Germany

Responsibilities

• Design and implement programme processes across engineering, product, and mission operations teams
• Establish and enforce a Jira-based operating model, including workflows, ticket standards, and definitions of done
• Own deliverable gates and readiness criteria for milestones, releases, and deployments, ensuring evidence-based sign-off
• Drive planning, tracking, and execution of exercises and demonstrations, including feedback capture and post-event closeout
• Manage integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and critical paths across hardware, software, and integration workstreams
• Translate operational and engineering inputs into structured, testable requirements with clear acceptance criteria and traceability
• Govern feedback and change processes between local integration activities and centrally prioritised product development teams
