Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced SI&T professional to join our growing IT team in the UK Defence and national security sectors. You will integrate complex systems across hardware, software, networks and data layers, ensuring end-to-end operability within a system-of-systems context.

With strong experience in defence environments, you will contribute to verification, validation, and test planning, management, and reporting, working across lifecycle stages and multiple stakeholders for coherent,

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead / support the integration of complex systems, ensuring interoperability across hardware, software, networks, and data layers.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve integration issues across system boundaries, including APIs, data flows, and network interfaces.
• Develop and manage integration and test artefacts (plans, cases, scripts, reports), ensuring traceability to requirements and architecture.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, developers, and security teams to ensure coherent end-to-end solutions.
• Support verification and validation activities, ensuring that integrated systems meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Contribute to integration risk management, defect resolution, and continuous improvement of integration and test approaches.
