Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer at their Bristol site. You will technically lead complex system refreshes on MOD test ranges and develop systems to test rapidly changing military equipment, working across Mission Rehearsal technologies and integration of customer platforms.

You will deliver engineering artefacts across the full lifecycle, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or MSc or higher preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record leading technical programmes through project life and into service.
• Understanding of systems engineering, planning, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Leading the technical delivery of complex/high value systems programmes to time, cost and quality.
• Delivering systems engineering artefacts through project life from requirements to service transition.
• Engaging with broad stakeholder groups to understand requirements, risks and changes.
• Tailoring project lifecycles and engineering governance approaches, mentoring others.
• Leading technical, assurance and systems engineering activity across programmes.
• Leading subcontracted activity with clear statements of work and risk mitigation.
