Job summary

Amentum is seeking Systems Engineers to join our UK-based team. The majority of work can be performed from home with visits to sites as needed, with 1–2 days in the office and occasional site visits across our UK network of offices including Bristol, Reading, London, Glasgow, and Manchester.

As part of the systems engineering team you will work on various life cycle activities across MoD, nuclear programmes, and emerging nuclear technologies, delivering SME guidance and supporting project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline.
• Experience in Systems Engineering in a complex, safety-focused and regulated environment; ideally UK MoD or similar.

Responsibilities

• Steer Systems Engineering principles through stakeholder approvals.
• Provide SME advice on SE processes to stakeholders and teams.
• Capture, validate and manage requirements and V&V strategy.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements capture.
• Provide SME interface management for systems.
• Plan and develop SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs).
• Prepare interface documents, integration plans, test plans and acceptance reports.
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in stakeholder meetings
