Job summary

Mitie Defence is seeking an experienced Mobile Authorised Person in East Scotland to support the MoD Future Defence Infrastructure Services contract. You will implement JSP375 Safe Systems of Work, produce risk assessments, method statements, safety programmes and permits to work.

You will assess competence of Skilled Persons, liaise with DIO representatives and site teams, and promote a positive safety culture while supporting sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives across defence sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in Safe Systems of Work environments; JSP375 desirable.
• Background in operational delivery, maintenance or engineering.
• Qualifications aligned to JSP375 requirements.
• Health & Safety qualification at management level (e.g., SMSTS) with Emergency First Aid and Fire Safety training.
• Experience across Electrical, Confined Space and Working at Height is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage JSP375 Safe Systems of Work; produce risk assessments, method statements and permits to work.
• Ensure safety documentation is completed accurately and maintained for compliance.
• Assess competence of Skilled Persons; provide supervision and guidance.
• Liaise with DIO representatives, Authorising Engineers, site teams and end users.
• Promote safety culture; support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
