Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS in Yeovil is seeking a dedicated Retail Supervisor to help ensure the smooth operation of Defence services on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). The role involves supervising a frontline team, managing rotas, handling stock, and delivering excellent customer service in a Defence-related environment.

The position is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year with shifts 5 out of 7 days. You will be a key holder, assist with till payments, and support weekly bookwork while

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams in a similar environment.
• Good communication skills with a focus on great customer service.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to Defence sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment with support for colleagues.
• Being a responsible key holder.
• Using the till, taking orders and receiving payments.
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and other duties as necessary.
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines.
• Placing orders for stock to maintain correct stock levels.
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
