MacTaggart Scott invites an experienced Inspector to join our Inspection team in the UK defence sector. This hands-on role focuses on dimensional and goods-inwards inspection to ensure right-first-time quality and compliance with work centre priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships across the business.
• Strong planning and organisational skills to manage workload.
• Self-motivated with high accuracy under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of inspection methods and processes.
• Experience meeting demanding deadlines.
• Team player who contributes to shared goals.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional inspection and QC to meet standards.
• Coordinate calibration of inspection equipment.
• Investigate defects and implement improvements.
• Oversee in-process inspection from goods-inwards to final manufacture.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis for non-conformances.
• Participate in problem-solving across the business.
• May train in NDE techniques where required.
