Job summary

Mace is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join our Defence team in Preston, Lancashire, delivering a major long-term air system and Defence programme. You will develop, maintain and assure robust project schedules, working with delivery teams to define activities, logic and dependencies, and supporting predictable, secure delivery.

Role requires a qualification in engineering/construction/project management or equivalent, proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and eligibility for UK security

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules on construction or infra projects.
• Strong understanding of planning best practice including baselining and schedule quality checks.
• Flexible to work from Preston or Lancashire area and eligible for UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules (design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover).
• Maintaining schedule baselines, updating progress, and ensuring logic integrity and milestones.
• Performing schedule analysis (float, criticality, what-if) and recovery planning.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, engineering, construction and supply chain teams on interfaces and constraints.
• Providing regular schedule reporting and narrative on risks and lookahead views.
• Supporting programme assurance through planning evidence and change impacts.
