MIGSO-PCUBED in Manchester is seeking a Project Management Consultant for the Defence sector who is SC cleared or eligible. You will lead engineering and aerospace initiatives, develop schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing and procurement.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to delivery in a fast-growing consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Programme Manager or PMO professional.
• Experience within Defence, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or another complex technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• The confidence to work with both technical teams and senior leadership.
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering and aerospace projects from initiation through to completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement and other business functions.
• Monitor project progress, performance, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Identify potential delivery risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
• Manage project governance, reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops and progress reviews.
• Provide clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement and the implementation of project management best practices.
• Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted project management partner.
• Contribute to the wider MIGSO-PCUBED consulting community through knowledge sharing and best-practice development.
