The Benevolent Fund is the independent charitable arm of the MOD-run Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC – the “Unit”). It operates beyond public funding by providing specialist equipment, grants, staff initiatives, and social and occupational activities to enhance DMRC’s rehabilitation outcomes.
The DMRC Benevolent Fund provides welfare and social rehabilitation opportunities for service personnel recovering from life-changing injuries and illnesses during active service. It supports staff and provides welfare to patients, complementing medical interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
Working with the DMRC Benevolent Fund offers immense rewards—being on the front line of defence rehabilitation. Our Trustees and committee members are passionate volunteers from military and civilian backgrounds, with strong relationships across the Unit, Board, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
If interested or for an informal discussion, contact Matt Perkins, Chair of the Board of Trustees, at matt.perkins@dmrcbenfund.org.uk.
Previous military experience is not required. We welcome applications from former patients, military personnel with life-changing injuries or illnesses, and those from the corporate sector to expand our support network.
We are committed to increasing diversity within our teams and encourage applications from women, ethnic minorities, and individuals with different accessibility needs.
To apply, send your CV and cover letter explaining why you wish to work with the DMRC Benevolent Fund and how your expertise can support our charity.
