Job summary

Impellam seeks a materials specialist to support a UK defence programme from a specialist laboratory in Stevenage. You will perform testing, analyse materials, and provide technical input on performance, reliability, and cost across defence projects.

Collaborating with UK and French teams, you will ensure compliance with REACH/RoHS, maintain safety standards, and contribute to reporting and documentation for various programmes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on laboratory testing and data analysis.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in defence/industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with DEF STAN standards and related international guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support testing, failure investigations and material selection.
• Analyze material properties to support design, manufacturing and QA.
