Job summary

Compass Group UK&I – ESS is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant in Tilshead (Salisbury). This full-time role is contracted to 35 hours per week and offers progression within a company that values its people, its food, and its service.

You will prepare meals, maintain cleanliness, operate kitchen equipment safely, and support deliveries. The position requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work shifts in a Defence catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas.

• Assisting with loading or unloading deliveries and supply vehicles.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
• Demonstrating ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
