Job summary

A specialist engineering organisation in Farnborough seeks an experienced FPGA Engineer to design and verify FPGA solutions for mission-critical systems. The role requires strong experience in VHDL/Verilog, familiarity with vendor toolchains like Xilinx or Intel, and active SC or DV clearance. Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as an FPGA Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog is essential.
• Experience with Xilinx or Intel FPGA toolchains is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify FPGA based solutions for secure systems.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers.
• Implement high-quality RTL and support verification activities.

Skills

FPGA design experience using VHDL and/or Verilog

Understanding of verification, test, and debugging of FPGA designs

Ability to work with requirements, design documentation, and engineering standards

Proven experience as an FPGA Engineer in a defence, aerospace or similarly regulated environment
