Job summary

Astuco Ltd. is recruiting Test Engineers to prove out a Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Spiral 6 data-centric interoperability pilot on a major UK Defence programme. Two positions are available.

This role covers designing, running and evidencing tests across infrastructure, security, identity and information-exchange components, from plan through to Authority-witnessed demonstration in secure Defence environments.

Qualifications

• Solid test engineering background with planning, scripting, execution and reporting.
• Producing full documentation sets: plans, scripts, procedures, reports.
• Functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing.
• Experience validating inside complex enterprise or infrastructure estates.
• Proven testing of infrastructure, networking, security or identity management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain and run the test scripts that underpin verification, validation and acceptance.
• Help shape and deliver the Validation and Verification plan.
• Build scenarios covering functional/non-functional behaviour, integration and regression.
• Test across the stack: infrastructure, security, identity, policy enforcement and interoperability.
• Prove interoperability between the platform, partner systems and FMN-aligned services.
• Confirm coalition information sharing, auditability and traceability.
• Exercise Federated Identity and Access Management, PKI and trust services.
• Keep documentation current: plans, scripts, procedures, evidence packs and reports.
• Raise and track defects through investigation, root cause and closure.
• Help build and validate the test and demonstration environments.
• Work with architects, engineers and security specialists to integrate and prove the solution.
• Hold the evidence trail for assurance, compliance and audit.
• Support FMN Spiral 6 compliance checks and Authority-witnessed demonstrations.
• Write outcomes, lessons learned and recommendations from validation.
• Improve test process, tooling and methodology.
