Job summary

Premier Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager to lead delivery of complex defence engineering programmes, owning high-value projects and managing key customer relationships.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically challenging solutions, control budgets, schedules, and risks, and contribute to business growth through bid activities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering defence engineering or manufacturing programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management.
• Excellent stakeholder and customer management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with UK MoD programmes.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Professional registration (EngTech, IEng or equivalent).
• Engineering/technical degree or equivalent is required.
• Proficient MS Project planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle delivery of complex defence engineering projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to ensure programme execution.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Act as primary client contact, building strong relationships.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain.
• Manage subcontractors and external partners to meet quality and schedule.
