Rolls‑Royce Defence invites an executive leader to drive the Data Governance Programme across Defence, Group Digital and IT, Cyber, Legal, and Commercial. You will translate regulatory obligations into an executable strategy while balancing sovereignty with business continuity and innovation.

You will build trusted relationships with Rolls‑Royce, UK Government, MOD, customers and suppliers, translating complex requirements into decisive actions and tangible outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading enterprise‑wide programmes or transformations.
• Strong strategic/enterprise thinking with ability to translate long‑term goals into action.
• Ability to connect technical, regulatory, commercial and organisational themes into direction.
• Exceptional communication skills with C‑suite/Board experience.
• Extensive senior stakeholder management across complex organisations and partners.
• Experience engaging with UK Government and MOD in Defence context.
• Strong risk, governance and accountability in regulated environments.
• Understanding of data governance, cyber resilience and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial and financial awareness to shape investments and contracts.
• Keen learner with ability to adapt to new challenges.

Responsabilités

• Provide enterprise leadership for Defence data governance and ensure data is managed as a strategic asset.
• Define long‑term vision and operating model for trusted, sovereign Defence data.
• Translate evolving regulation and requirements into priorities and outcomes.
• Establish governance, decision rights and accountability for Defence information lifecycle.
• Balance security/sovereignty with operational continuity and efficiency.
• Oversee capabilities and services to manage Defence information securely across its lifecycle.
• Build a high‑performing multidisciplinary team and become a community of practice.
• Sponsor the use of AI, automation and analytics to improve regulatory intelligence.
