Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our UK defence-focused IT group. You will design, implement, and maintain security architectures to safeguard client data and systems, integrating SbD principles and aligning with MOD standards.

The role requires translating business needs into security requirements and coordinating across senior stakeholders. You will lead threat and vulnerability management, evaluate security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, SOAR),

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical skills for complex security challenges.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Designing Security Architecture for ICT capabilities and SbD alignment.
• Strategic alignment of security with client business goals and technology plans.
• Threat and vulnerability management including risk analyses and security assessments.
• Security solution design and evaluation of technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, SOAR).
• Policy and procedure development to meet regulations and best practices.
• Incident response and management coordination.
• Stakeholder communication with senior management and technical teams.
