Mace is seeking a Cost Controller/Cost Engineer to join the Defence team in Preston. You will support cost management and reporting across projects, providing clear insights to inform decisions for a major long-term programme in air system and Defence environments.

Applicants should be eligible for UK Security Clearance; role begins early 2027 with onboarding as appropriate. The role requires maintaining baselines, forecasting, change impact assessment and close collaboration with commercial,

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control or cost engineering within construction or regulated programmes.
• Good forecasting, baselining, change impact assessment and cost reporting cycles.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with cost systems and reporting tools.
• Detail oriented with ability to communicate cost information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cost baselines, forecasts and estimates per governance requirements.
• Track commitments, actuals, accruals and variances with narrative on drivers.
• Support monthly cost reporting cycles including validation and reconciliation.
• Support change control by quantifying cost impacts and logs.
• Collaborate with commercial, procurement and project teams on cost data.
• Provide cost insights for governance packs and senior stakeholder reporting.
