Leonardo supports a Central London Industrial Placement Software Engineer role focused on developing and maintaining in-house knowledge management software for a MOD customer. You will work on front-end and back-end components using C#, .NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a collaborative team.

Based in central London, you’ll interface with government and defence partners, participate in production runs, and gain exposure to security vetting processes essential for national security work.

Qualifications

• You have a Computer Science background or STEM degree with strong programming focus.
• Experience in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ASP.NET is preferred.
• Knowledge of C#, .NET, XAML, and WPF for desktop/web apps.
• Strong problem solving and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the Principal Software Engineer to prototype, design, and maintain the front-end application and product website.
• Support database maintenance, development, and query tasks for the back-end.
• Participate in monthly production runs delivering updated assessments to partners.
• Provide ad-hoc support to MOD customers on short notice.
• Work office-based in central London.
