Job summary

Leonardo in London is seeking Defence Analytics Engineers to create and integrate weapon system models for our MOD customer. You will develop dynamic computer models primarily in MATLAB/Simulink, exercising them in-house and preparing outputs for customer environments.

The role can be full-time or four days a week part-time. You will collaborate with UK and international partners, travel for technical exchanges, and contribute to improved modelling tools and processes within a multi-national

Qualifications

• A degree in a STEM subject and strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, C# and/or Python is desirable.
• Knowledge of aerospace technologies such as aerodynamics, propulsion, sensors, guidance and control is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce computer models of weapons systems and aid their integration into customer simulation environments.
• Produce reports and presentations for MOD customers and wider community.
• Provide ad hoc advice and support to MOD customers, often on short notice.
• Propose and implement improvements to tools and processes.
• Liaise with MOD and wider customer base to determine future analysis requirements.
