Leonardo UK Ltd in London is seeking a Defence Analytics Engineer to create dynamic weapon system models using MATLAB/Simulink and to integrate these models into customer environments, primarily for the UK MOD. The role combines modelling, analysis, and collaboration with multinational partners, with occasional travel.

The position suits graduates or experienced engineers with a STEM background, strong numerical skills, and knowledge of aerospace technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM subject with strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink; proficiency in C/C++, C# and/or Python.
• Knowledge of aerospace technologies such as aerodynamics, propulsion, sensors, guidance and control.
• Ability to communicate with diverse audiences and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel for technical exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Produce computer models of weapons systems and aid their integration.
• Produce reports and presentations for MOD customers and wider community.
• Provide ad hoc advice and support to MOD customers.
• Propose and implement improvements to tools and processes.
• Liaise with MOD and wider customer base to determine future requirements.
• Collaborate with UK and international partners to share best practices.
• Travel for technical exchanges with partners in the UK and abroad.
