Job summary

SR2 REC LTD in London is seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Software Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of complex AI platforms for defence and government clients, working directly with customers in a hybrid London setting. You will lead deployments, adapt cloud-native apps for Kubernetes/OpenShift, and drive security accreditation while remaining hands-on with TypeScript, Node.js, React and PostgreSQL.

Active DV clearance is required, with opportunities to shape secure, high-stakes projects

Qualifications

Experience leading complex software deployments end-to-end.
Strong GCP engineering experience with Cloud Run/Cloud SQL/IAM.
Hands-on with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, Docker and CI/CD.
Active UK DV clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead technical engagement with defence and government customers, including senior engineering and security stakeholders.
Own deployment, integration, testing, troubleshooting and handover of complex AI platforms.
Adapt GCP-native applications for Kubernetes, OpenShift, private cloud, on-premises and air-gapped environments.
Build production-ready solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, React and PostgreSQL.
Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform, Docker and CI/CD tooling.
Lead technical assurance, security testing, documentation and accreditation support.
Work independently across the full delivery lifecycle, feeding customer insights back to the core engineering team.
