Job summary

TEAM LEWIS in London is seeking an Account Manager specialising in Defence & Advanced Tech to manage client relationships and develop integrated campaigns. You will lead media relations, craft content, and guide a team to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with defense clients, providing strategic counsel and overseeing UK market entry and tender communications. A strong network and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ agency experience supporting and leading public relations and public affairs accounts.
• At least 18 months' communications experience within the defence sector, ideally with defence clients.
• Strong writt en and verbal communication; confident pitching to journalists.
• Good network across defence ecosystem including journalists and political stakeholders.
• Ability to manage client relationships independently and coach juniors.

Responsibilities

• Consultative relationship with clients for campaign delivery.
• Develop mixed-communications campaigns with media, political and marketing activity.
• Drive media relations and capitalise on news opportunities.
• Foster relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers and stakeholders.
• Provide impactful content including press releases, articles and blogs.
• Support clients entering the UK market and setting up subsidiaries.
• Assist with defence tender communications and procurement processes.
• Keep abreast of defence themes, procurement landscape and upcoming contracts.
• Coach Account Executives and manage KPIs with reporting and insight.
• Maintain budgets through effective cost management.
