Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in Derby. The role offers daily pay between £105 and £120 depending on experience, with opportunities to work across a range of supportive schools in the area.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD and SEMH), help with academic, social and emotional development, and work with teachers to implement IEPs in a safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred).
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Aspire People).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for SEN pupils (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties).
• Support students with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive, safe learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials as needed.
