The Pharmacy Department at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to providing patient-centered care with a forward-thinking approach. An exceptional opportunity has opened up for the role of Chief Pharmacist following the retirement of the current post holder.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative pharmacy leader with a proven track record in delivering excellence in pharmacy and medicines optimization services. The ideal candidate will have specialist expertise and will take on delegated responsibilities from the CEO for all aspects of medicines optimization, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
In this role, you will set strategic directions, provide professional expertise, and support your teams with compassion and care. This position also offers unique opportunities in personalized medicine, advanced medicinal technologies, research, and digital excellence, as well as in modernizing services within new hospital builds.
Outstanding leadership skills, high motivation, resilience, and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills are essential. You will also be expected to represent and contribute to national pharmacy networks and professional groups.
