Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking two decorators to work within a housing environment, focusing on damp and mould treatment, external decoration, and minor repairs, supporting a client with a 5-year plan to improve social housing.

1. Wash down and treat mould & damp according to manufacturer guidelines; wash external surfaces including windows, doors, soffits, and facias.
2. Perform decoration and tiling work efficiently, following specifications and using appropriate products.
3. Carry out minor repairs to walls, timber, guttering, soffits, and facias to facilitate decoration and tiling.
4. Manage workload, attend appointments, and communicate effectively with the team and customers.
5. Report delays or issues to the line manager.
6. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH guidelines.
7. Order and manage materials cost-effectively, updating customers on progress.
8. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality service.
9. Use smartphones and tablets to record job progress, timesheets, and materials.

Candidate Requirements:

1. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Tiling or Painting & Decorating, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in tiling and decoration within housing or similar settings.
3. Knowledge of repair, tiling, and redecoration policies and technical issues.
4. Ability to work under tight deadlines as part of a team.
5. Full driving licence.
