Decontamination Services Technician (Grade A)

Job summary

We are currently recruiting for 2 part-time positions within our Decontamination Services Team.

Working hours are as follows:

1. 1x30 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 4pm to 10pm
2. 1x18 hours per week - Wednesday to Friday, 4pm to 10pm

Please note, both positions will be part of the Saturday rota working 1 in 4, hours are 8am to 1pm, and Bank Holiday rota working 8am to 12pm.

Main duties of the job

• Undertake decontamination services duties and assist in providing a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to patient care.
• Record all tasks on the Health Edge computerised traceability systems.
• Work in accordance with department's work instructions and Quality Management systems.
• Provide supervision to Apprentice Decontamination Technicians within the team.
• Plan own workload with limited supervision.
• The role involves exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
