Job Summary

The Divisional Operational Manager is seeking an assistant to support the provision of services, ensuring the Trust achieves internal and national targets.

  • Assist and support the Divisional Operational Manager in service provision.
  • Work as part of the Division, managing day-to-day activities and interactions for specific programs.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare services.
  • Provide expert decontamination advice to all teams across the Trust.
  • Manage staff and resources within Decontamination Departments, ensuring efficient and high-quality services.
  • Lead the implementation of audit recommendations related to decontamination and sterile services.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies for Sterile Services and decontamination.
Main Duties
  • Provide ongoing technical and professional training to decontamination staff.
  • Monitor, motivate, and support staff to fulfill mandatory training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with technical decontamination standards (e.g., HTM 01-01, HTM 01-06).
  • Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Carry out internal audits and prepare for external audits.
  • Write, amend, and maintain QMS documents.
  • Investigate and close out Q-safe incidents.
  • Lead customer liaison and user groups, ensuring continual improvement.
  • Communicate changes and developments to decontamination staff and user departments.
  • Assist in business planning and service development.
  • Provide effective management information using IT systems.
