Job summary

Nuclear Inst seeks an experienced radiological protection professional to support decommissioning at Trawsfynydd. You will join the site Radiological Protection Team to provide practical guidance across complex work areas and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will inspect, assess and advise on radiological hazards, contributing to safe, compliant delivery while training others and promoting best practice site-wide.

Qualifications

• Accredited Health Physicist or certified RPA with regulatory experience.
• Ability to apply Ionising Radiations Regulations and Environmental Permitting rules.
• Proven track record in radiological protection within decommissioning projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiological inspections and audits to enforce the protection programme.
• Provide clear radiological protection advice, including BAT/ALARP options.
• Advise on transport/consignment of radioactive materials from site.
• Offer specialist radiological guidance and support training delivery.
