Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Overview:
We’re hiring a Temporary Deckhand to assist with dredging operations in Sheerness starting in August 2025. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous marine or dredging experience who’s looking for short-term work in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Duties:

  • Support dredging vessel operations and equipment handling

  • Assist with mooring, rigging, and general deck work

  • Maintain vessel cleanliness and readiness

  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times

  • Take direction from the skipper or dredge supervisor

Requirements:

  • Valid ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate (or equivalent)

  • STCW Basic Safety Training (or willingness to complete)

  • Previous experience as a deckhand, ideally in dredging or marine works

  • Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions

  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Dredging or marine construction experience

  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 or MCA Boatmaster Licence

  • Familiarity with marine plant and machinery
