Decarbonisation Manager

Location: Liverpool / Birmingham / London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car + Benefits

Are you capable of embedding decarbonisation into operational excellence and holding senior leaders accountable for delivering environmental impact?

Would you like to work with a market-leading facilities management company and advance sustainability throughout the organisation?

If so, you might be interested in the Decarbonisation Manager role I am currently recruiting for. This position joins an established team within a global facilities management company that prioritises sustainability at the core of its operations. The role is vital to their ongoing development internally and for major clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of decarbonisation strategies across service lines, ensuring alignment with Net Zero targets and organisational goals.
  • Defining and monitoring performance metrics and KPIs to assess sustainability progress, providing strategic guidance and challenge where needed.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to agree on action plans, ensuring accountability and effective risk mitigation across business functions.
  • Overseeing the identification, testing, and deployment of cost-effective carbon reduction solutions, supported by robust data management and reporting systems.

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • Proven operational sustainability experience, preferably within facilities management, property, or a related field.
  • Ability to work across complex organisations, engaging with diverse stakeholder groups and building strong relationships at all levels.
  • Confidence in using data and insights to develop and implement impactful sustainability solutions.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to change, with the ability to adapt plans according to evolving regulations, standards, and business needs.
