My client is a prominent law firm, renowned for delivering exceptional legal services with a personalised approach. In the last five years, the firm has expanded to over 100 employees across multiple locations. It holds high rankings in industry-leading directories for its expertise. The firm provides a dynamic and rewarding environment, with a strong emphasis on growth, innovation, and career development, while maintaining a reputation for client satisfaction and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients through meetings and interviews to provide expert guidance on the complete debt recovery process, including initiating legal actions, obtaining judgments, and filing winding-up petitions.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of relevant documents and case law to ensure advice accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence tailored to each client's specific needs, in line with current legal standards and regulations.
  • Represent clients and negotiate on their behalf when required, advocating assertively for their interests.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of cases, ensuring deadlines are met and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Utilise professional networks to identify and generate new business opportunities, contributing to the firm's growth.
  • Actively monitor and meet personal time recording and billing targets.
  • Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to solicitors, legal executives, and paralegals, while delegating tasks to support their professional development.
  • Work in adherence to professional standards, including those outlined in the Office Manual, SRA principles, Lexel, CQS, and Legal Services Commission guidelines.
  • Leverage available software tools to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient services to clients whenever possible.
  • Take ownership of personal development by engaging in continuous learning, particularly staying informed about changes in relevant laws.
  • Perform additional duties that contribute to the continued growth and success of the department and firm, ensuring smooth business operations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a Legal Executive or Paralegal capacity
  • Ambitious, determined and trustworthy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to meet all urgent deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Knowledge of issuing court proceedings, requesting judgements and winding up petitions
  • Case management systems
