Salary: £25,793 - £27,182 per year

For Falkirk Council employees this is a secondment opportunity. Prior to application please obtain confirmation from your current Line Manager that you can be released to take up this secondment opportunity, should you be successful.

With responsibility for the management of customers who are in arrears with their Temporary Accommodation rent, either by telephone or by visiting them in their home and negotiate payment arrangements.

You will work closely with our Housing needs team to monitor arrangements, and review account to progress arrears actions. You will help customers access the advice and support available. You will have good communication skills and be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Applicants should possess existing knowledge of rent arrears collection and be already proficient in the use of the nec housing system, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and be able to relate to homeless people in a sympathetic manner. Tact and discretion are vital. Experience of working with people in a vulnerable environment would be desirable.

This post is temporary until June 2026 due to service requirement.
