Citizens Advice Luton - Debt Advice Caseworker

Citizens Advice Luton is a well-respected local charity with over 30 years of experience delivering free, independent, and impartial information, advice, and casework services that meet the changing needs of local residents. Our aims are to provide the independent, impartial, confidential, and free advice people need and to improve policies and practices affecting people's lives.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Debt Advice Caseworker to undergo training to deliver our specialist debt advice service. Once trained, the role involves assessing clients and providing advice through various channels including telephone, face-to-face, and email. The successful candidate will work with clients to offer advice and options for managing their debts, liaise with creditors, signpost to additional support, and assist with next steps as necessary.

  • Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2026 (extension subject to funding)
