Job Description:

The role: The Deals Tax Management Team Advisory Group is a specialist tax team advising on tax and commercial issues related to the design, implementation, and operation of management and employee incentives, particularly during transactions or when new incentives are needed.

Our clients are mainly top and mid-tier investors in the Private Equity (PE) market and the board-level C-suite of PE-backed portfolio companies.

What your days will look like:

1. Assisting on projects involving UK and global tax advice, including advising management/PE investors on implementing management incentive plans (MIP) during and after transactions, equity resets, and events such as joiners/leavers mid-cycle.
2. Preparing for exits such as sales to new PE investors or trade buyers, or float processes, including tax due diligence.
3. Working on demanding, fast-paced projects with support from colleagues to deliver technical advice, communicate complex issues effectively, and promote team coaching.
4. Developing relationships with clients, internal teams, external intermediaries, and junior team members.
5. Supporting business development activities, including researching opportunities, preparing proposals, and attending networking events.

This role is for you if you have:

1. An ACA/CTA qualification (or international equivalent) or equivalent work experience, including candidates qualifying through experience in their home country.
2. Strong knowledge of management incentive plans, especially in the PE industry.
3. Experience and enjoyment working in a Deals environment.
4. Strong communication skills, particularly in negotiation and influence.
5. Excellent analytical, project management, and report-writing skills.
6. An inquisitive mindset and problem-solving ability within a diverse team.
