Hutcheon Mearns is recruiting a Deals Senior Analyst/Manager to work across Corporate Finance and Transaction Services to support the successful execution of M&A transactions. Supporting a rapidly growing professional advisory firm with a market-leading corporate finance team in Scotland, we are looking to recruit a Qualified Accountant into our Aberdeen-based team. Applications are sought from ambitious and driven individuals who will work within a professional and collaborative culture in a dynamic setting.

Consideration will be given to driven individuals with a proven track record of achievement, from a professional practice or corporate finance background. Candidates must have a proactive attitude and display superior communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Excel skills are required, and previous experience in a transaction-based role would be highly advantageous.

Overview

1. Assisting in the execution of deals
2. Assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
3. Gathering public information relating to companies and transactions through numerous sources
4. Conducting financial analyses and assessment of companies
5. Generating models for company valuations and building company forecast models
6. Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for sell-side assignments / financings
7. Analyzing company performance on an absolute and relative basis
8. Producing and maintaining various databases
9. Supporting clients through due diligence processes – managing data sites and information provision
10. Working with the team to coordinate key aspects of transaction workstreams
11. Conducting in-depth financial analysis of target companies, assessing key drivers, financial trends, and risks
12. Working closely with clients and external advisors to ensure alignment on transaction objectives and key deliverables
13. Identifying potential deal risks and providing actionable recommendations to mitigate financial exposure
14. Developing clear, concise reports that summarize complex financial data into actionable insights for clients
15. Keeping up to date with industry best practices, emerging market trends, and regulatory changes that could impact client transactions
