Contract Type: Temp, Full-time - 12 month FTC

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm (37.5 hours)

Salary: Up to £52,500 per annum depending on experience

Are you motivated by balancing balance sheets, reviewing budgets and expenditure, or producing monthly, quarterly, and full year-end accounts? If so, you're almost the perfect candidate for this role. Ideally, you will have a proven track record in an accountancy role, preferably in the motor trade. You should be business savvy, articulate, investigative, and organized to get the job done well. Collaboration with a wide team and support from our Financial Controller will be part of your responsibilities.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements; support period-end closings and financial analysis.
  • General Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintain the general ledger; reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet items.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee vendor payments and customer collections; resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Inventory & Cost Accounting: Track vehicle/parts inventory; perform floor plan reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to policies, GAAP, and tax regulations; support audits and internal controls.
  • Tax & Filing Support: Assist with tax reporting (sales, property, income); liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Management Support: Provide financial insights and assist with budgeting and forecasts.
