Job Description:

Our client, a city-based bank, is seeking a candidate with experience in originating and executing Subscription Credit Facilities. This role offers significant internal and client exposure. Candidates from rating agencies with similar skills will also be considered.

Role Purpose:

Join a growing team focused on building a high-quality portfolio of Subscription Credit Facilities (SCFs) for private equity and alternative investment funds. As a Deal Manager, you will be pivotal in execution and management of transactions, from credit analysis and documentation to risk oversight and relationship management.

The bank has a strong reputation in the SCF market, especially in the SMA niche, where their expertise differentiates them. This is a great opportunity to gain responsibility early, working on high-profile deals with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong execution experience in SCFs. Origination experience is a plus but not required. If you have a track record of closing deals, this could be your next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal execution & Credit analysis: Own the end-to-end process of SCFs, including structuring, financial modeling, credit memos, and presentations.
  • Documentation & Negotiation: Lead negotiations of legal documentation with counsel, ensuring terms meet client and risk standards.
  • Portfolio management: Monitor and manage the performance of facilities and the overall portfolio, perform risk assessments, manage renewals, and produce reviews.
  • Internal process management: Coordinate internal approvals efficiently.
  • Client engagement: Act as a key contact during execution and throughout the facility's lifecycle, building trust-based relationships.
  • Market intelligence: Keep abreast of market developments, competitor activity, and investor trends.
  • Team support & business growth: Support strategic initiatives, pitch support, and business development, shaping the bank’s SCF strategy in EMEA.
  • Additional duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department to support team success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in SCF execution at a bank or financial institution.
  • Ability to lead or support SCF transactions throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Structured credit experience (e.g., fund finance, leverage finance, asset-backed lending) with solid credit analysis skills, comfortable with legal documentation and working with legal counsel.
  • Understanding of fund finance, credit analysis, legal documentation, and credit processes.
  • Origination experience is not required but interest in client engagement is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
