Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Cardiff seeks an experienced DDaT Vetting and Aftercare Manager to support vetting and aftercare for National Security Vetting, ensuring policies and processes are applied efficiently and securely.

You will manage casework for individuals with access to sensitive assets, brief staff on vulnerabilities, and lead risk-based decision making while maintaining data protection standards.

Qualifications

• HEO grade in a developing and dynamic environment.
• Experience in vetting, aftercare and personnel security matters.
• Ability to make risk-based decisions and conduct investigations sensitively.
• Experience in line management.

Responsibilities

• Build professional relationships with colleagues across BIST, DDaT, security community, recruitment partners and suppliers.
• Champion vetting policy, procedure and process with colleagues at all levels.
• Provide advice on insider threat issues and personnel security.
• Act as the primary DDaT contact for vetting and aftercare, manage casework and mailbox activity.
• Investigate and assess vetting cases, decide on clearance and escalate high risk issues.
• Implement Aftercare measures and keep databases updated.
• Review security requirements across all DDaT roles and map roles / deliver info sessions.
• Line management and supervision of EO and AO team members.
