Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. An exciting opportunity has arisen within CIO as a Senior BI Design & Integration Manager. The role sits within the CIO Data Team and is focused on the agile development of robust data models within the Data Warehouse, which are delivered in sprints to support the business requirements. It is a key role in supporting the aims of the BI function as it is at the centre of the providing, supporting and maintaining data models accessed via data marts, to ensure reliability and performance in line with the expectations of key stakeholders.
The role is also tasked with supporting, testing, and providing proper resilience of the Data Warehouse, in addition to oversight of the business continuity plan. As a major contributor to the support of key stakeholders, this role interacts with the BI delivery team within the BI function and is also responsible for documenting data models providing clarity to end users and the wider DIO on the structure of the Data Warehouse, associated Data Marts and their views. It is also a key role for interacting with Data Architecture team on the supply of data into the Data Warehouse, ensuring that data is loaded in an accurate and timely manner.
