DCS Engineer - Power Station

Alecto Recruitment is currently working with a leading organisation in the Energy from Waste (EfW) and Power sector, seeking a skilled DCS Engineer to join their engineering team at a state-of-the-art facility in Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced controls professional to take ownership of key control systems on a modern EfW site. The role offers excellent long-term prospects, investment in training, and a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

The Role - Key Responsibilities
  1. Ongoing maintenance, support, and development of the site-wide DCS.
  2. Lead on system upgrade projects, including software and hardware improvements.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues across the plant.
  4. Administer user access and ensure control logic security is maintained.
  5. Support auxiliary systems including turbine and emissions control platforms.
  6. Maintain comprehensive documentation, backups, and system change logs.
  7. Collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams.
  8. Stay current with control system technologies and recommend improvements.
  9. Develop and implement process monitoring tools to boost efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
